According to the lawsuit, Lee Davis was told his 1-year-old pit bull could not live with him since the Miramonte Lodge apartments have a restricted breed list. Davis gave up his dog and took the unit. But he says once he moved in he discovered several residents who were not African American kept dogs on the list.
A Holland Residential official did not respond to requests for comment.
