In 2025, Amazon invested more than $340 billion in the U.S. — more than any other year. Here in Oregon, Amazon has invested more than $60 billion since 2010, including $54.8 billion in data center infrastructure. Amazon investments have contributed $35 billion to the state’s GDP, driving economic growth. Amazon currently has more than 14,000 full- and part-time employees across the state and supports more than 30,000 indirect jobs across the state, in industries like construction, logistics, and professional services — the suppliers and partners we rely on every day. This sustained investment spans logistics infrastructure, cloud computing, renewable energy, and community support.

Beyond jobs and infrastructure, Amazon is deepening its roots in Oregon communities. Community giving in the state exceeded $2 million in 2025, supporting 65 organizations.

With 8 fulfillment and sortation centers, 7 delivery stations, 3 Rural Super Rural sites, 10 Whole Foods locations, and 5 solar/wind farms operating across Oregon, Amazon’s infrastructure touches communities from major metros to small towns.

More than 60% of sales in Amazon’s store come from independent sellers — and the majority are small and medium-sized businesses. For decades, we’ve endeavored to make Amazon the best place for local businesses to launch and build thriving enterprises. In Oregon, independent sellers sold more than 41 million items through Amazon’s store in 2025, with average sales of $325,000 per seller. This includes sellers from Oregon like Olababy!, a Portland-based startup that has sold hundreds of products on Amazon since 2012, growing to compete alongside well-established brands.

To ensure our employees have the skills and access needed for the jobs of the future, we offer prepaid college tuition through our Career Choice program. Since 2019, more than 1,500 employees participated in Career Choice — taking advantage of partnerships with 7 educational institutions across the state.
