Grants will provide two nonprofit organizations with free access to forest-set event spaces in 2026 and 2027.
Portland, OR — World Forestry Center is committed to practices and programs that elevate diverse voices, promote inclusiveness, and advance equity within our organization and across our community. “We hope this opportunity to extend complimentary venue space to nonprofit organizations will increase equitable access and foster new partnerships between community organizations and World Forestry Center,” said Alli Gannett, Communications Director.
For sixty years, World Forestry Center has worked at the intersection of people and forests. A nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring champions of sustainable forestry, World Forestry Center creates experiences that help people understand and support the economic, ecological, and social benefits of forests. While many organizations focus on forests, World Forestry Center is unique as a social change organization engaging both public and professional audiences through a wide range of educational and convening programs.
Located in Washington Park, World Forestry Center’s banquet and meeting halls are tucked away in the forest just 10 minutes from downtown Portland. The venues feature stunning wood interiors, polished stone floors, and modern amenities, offering a natural and welcoming setting for extraordinary events.
World Forestry Center’s Complimentary Venue Grant is a new program that will award two grants in 2026, each providing a complimentary event venue rental in Miller Hall, Cheatham Hall, or the Cheatham Hall and Plaza combination, with a value of up to $4,750.
Grant applications will be accepted through March 15, 2026, for events held in 2026 or 2027. Grant recipients will be announced on April 3, 2026, and two grants will be awarded.
Preference will be given to organizations that have not previously held events on the World Forestry Center campus. Applications will not be accepted for events already booked at World Forestry Center.
