Portland apparel brand unveils Pearl District location and wants an outlet in most US major cities.

Portland apparel brand Nau unveiled its new Pearl District location and a plan to bring an outlet to most US major cities.
The company had a grand opening in 2007 that was followed by a grand closing in 2008.
“We want to be at that sweet spot of fashion and function,” said general managerMark Galbraith. “By not having a logo, it doesn’t scream a particular end-use.”

Nau was launched by former executives from top retailers including Nike, Adidas and Patagonia. It quickly raised $14 million in venture capital and opened stores in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Boulder and Los Angeles.
