Netflix is pouring more resources into streaming video, and the Hillsboro support call center — the only one dedicated to DVDs – left it vulnerable to change.
“We’re essentially closing the call center. We’re relocating it to our corporate headquarters in Fremont,” said Cliff Edwards, the director of Corporate Communications and Technology for Netflix by phone from his office in Los Gatos, California. “We’re basically trying to centralize the workforce, as our DVD business declines.”
