The Bend-based brewery experienced construction permitting delays that pushed the project back by months.
“Honestly, I really don’t know why but we experienced some significant delays in permitting that were completely unexpected,” said Garrett Wales, a partner at 10 Barrel. “It took a lot longer than we thought it was going to take.”
Despite the delays, Wales said permits have been secured and work is well under way on the pub and brewery, which will be located at 1411 N.W. Flanders St. in the space formerly occupied by that Mellow Mushroom pizza restaurant. He said the 6,200-square-foot space is undergoing a complete overhaul and remodel, with concrete and slab work moving ahead.
