Eugene was chosen to host the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials for the third time in a row, in 2016.

It will be the third straight Olympic Trials in Eugene, and the sixth time the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field has served as host of the country’s most prestigious track and field event leading up to the Summer Olympics.

The 2016 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials will serve as the Team USA selection meet for the 2016 Summer Olympics, to be held Aug. 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro.
