Puppet Labs buys Cloudsmith

Portland startup Puppet Labs acquired Cloudsmith, its second announced acquisition after Marionette Collective in 2010. Puppet Labs has raised nearly $46 million in outside investment recently.

NW Portland Con-way site sold

Con-way finalized the sale of two acres at its Northwest Portland campus, to become a New Seasons Market, other retail, and an 115-unit apartment complex. The renovation is set to begin in 2014 and open in spring 2015.

Prineville home to flying car business

Samson Motors set up business at the Prineville/Crook County Airport. The company’s prototype is called the Switchblade, an experimental aircraft that is designed to drive from an owner’s garage to a local airport.
