The tech startup won the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s award for individual achievement.

The Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards recognized Puppet along with three other prominent young Oregon companies at its annual dinner Wednesday night.

OEN’s other winners, and finalists, are:

Launch-stage company: GlobeSherpa (Portland), which makes TriMet’s mobile ticketing app and is working to expand the service to other markets.

Finalists: Inpria (Corvallis) and Nouvola (Portland).

Development-stage company: Salt & Straw, Portland’s signature gourmet ice cream. Vice president Joe Biden made headlines around the world when he wolfed down a cone during a Portland visit this month.

Finalists: Chirpify (Portland), barre3 (Portland).

Growth-stage company: Elemental Technologies (Portland), whose software converts video for streaming online. Elemental’s clients include many of the world’s leading broadcast and cable networks, including ABC, the BBC, Comcast, ESPN, HBO, Major League Baseball, the NBA and PBS. Revenues grew 53 percent last year, to $32 million.
