Plans to open a GreenFLEX building material plant in Stayton have fallen through.

GreenFLEX reportedly will not be executing a deal that it was pursuing a few months ago, which would have brought jobs to Stayton.

Last June GreenFLEX, which has a plant in Salem that employs about 50, announced its intentions to purchase the former Karsten Homes building at 1200 Wilco Road. Expansion plans at that time envisioned the workforce doubling.
