GreenFLEX plans to open a factory in Stayton to make insulated concrete panels and employ 100 workers.

GreenFLEX, which has a plant in Salem that employs about 50 workers, intends to buy the former Karsten Homes building at 1200 Wilco Road in Stayton, company officials said. While the sale of the 140,000-square-foot building hasn’t closed, GreenFLEX officials said they expected the deal soon would be completed.

GreenFLEX manufactures concrete structural panels that incorporate a layer of foam insulation. Demand for the GreenFLEX panels, which can be used to create strong, well-insulated commercial and residential buildings, has prompted the expansion.
