News Corp sells Medford and Ashland newspapers

News Corp sold 33 publications, including Medford’s Mail Tribune and Ashland’s Daily Tidings.

Both Oregon papers said no staffing changes were announced Tuesday.
The buyer, Fortress Investment Group LLC, will manage the newspapers through its GateHouse Media chain. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
