Essential Health Clinic, which provided free medical care to uninsured patients, is closing its Hillsboro and Tigard clinics.
The clinic was based out of existing Washington County health clinics. Volunteers served in Hillsboro on Monday and Thursday evenings and in Tigard on Wednesday evenings. The Tigard location had its last night Wednesday March 13, while Thursday March 14 is the last night in Hillsboro.
The release cited “the difficulty of finding long-term and adequate funding” as the reason for the closure.
