Home values in the U.S. and Portland reached a low point in the year’s first quarter and are now rebounding.

Numbers released by [Zillow] today show home values in the Portland area rose 1.6 percent in June compared with the same month a year earlier and 1.2 percent compared with May, the fourth straight month of gains.

Zillow also joined the chorus declaring an end to tumbling home prices nationwide. U.S. home values, by the company’s measure, saw their first year-over-year increase in the year’s second quarter — though by only 0.2 percent.
