Portland-area home prices have rebounded 4.8% in the last year, the biggest year-over-year gain since April 2007.

Portland-area home prices have rebounded 4.8% in the last year, the biggest year-over-year gain since April 2007.

The median home value by Zillow’s estimate is $224,300, 23.1 percent lower than the peak and the same pre-crash level as April 2005.

From here, Zillow predicts a slower climb in home values. The company projects Portland home prices will rise 2.9 percent over the next year, and 1.7 percent nationwide.
