Eugene and Corvallis businesses say their sales drop while students are on break.
“It was quite a bit slower, we actually, slow enough that we closed for a few days, we did our routine maintenance but the whole campus is pretty slow,” said Taylor’s Bar & Grill Bartender Josh Laraut.
Employees there say they depend on students to keep Taylor’s profitable.
“Sales are cut in half, easily cut in half, we completely staff down during Christmas break as well,” Laraut said.
