Responding to rumors of the Bieb practicing in Eugene before the first Purpose tour show in Seattle, fans hoped for signs of the Canadian pop star as they waited outside of the Inn at 5th on Thursday. Alas, he was nowhere in sight.
Word in the parking lot where more than two dozen people were gathered was that Bieber would leave the hotel at 2 p.m. in time for a rehearsal at Matthew Knight Arena. Bieber reportedly was in Eugene to practice at the arena in preparation for his Purpose tour that kicks off March 9 in Seattle.
Just before 2 p.m., security appeared to be more active and the curtain closed in the lobby’s window. A man in a gray adidas track suit, who was at the arena earlier, came outside and looked around before a black Mercedes belonging to the hotel pulled out of the driveway.
