There can only be one alcohol producer named Bryn Mawr. So now a brewery in Minneapolis is changing its name.

The reason? Bryn Mawr Winery in Salem is owned by lawyers well versed in litigation.

[Co-founder Dan Justesen] said Salem, Oregon-based Bryn Mawr Vineyards sent a cease-and-desist letter and took a hard line with his beer company, in spite of the fact that they have no geographical overlap and make different kinds of alcoholic beverages.

Bryn Mawr Vineyards owner Jon Lauer confirmed the dispute.

The Minnesota firm is now called Utepils Brewing Co.
