The shoe, with an upper patterned after the carpet that is being removed from Portland International Airport, sold out in less than 30 minutes at the Foot Locker at Washington Square, the only brick-and-mortar retailer offering the shoe.
More than 100 people waited in line before the store opened at 10 a.m. Saturday and the first customer arrived at midnight, said Madeline Breskin, a spokeswoman for Adidas America in Portland.
