Proposed fixes could be included in upcoming budget term.

“In Oregon, we are stuck with a lot of legacy infrastructure that was built before we understood this earthquake risk,” Scott Ashford, chairman of the Oregon Resilience Task Force, told a legislative committee Tuesday.

The state hopes to become resilient in two ways: improving infrastructure to withstand a disaster, and having plans for response and recovery after one happens.
