Daimler Trucks North America plans to announce a major investment in Portland this week.
All signs point to Daimler Trucks North America as the company behind Oregon’s secretive “Project Nova,” and the 200-plus jobs it’s supposed to create.
Earlier this year, state business officials said Nova is in line for at least $1 million in public money to back the high-wage jobs.
Meanwhile, the same officials said Tuesday they had been working with Daimler, which plans to announce a “major investment and detail (the company’s) future commitment to the City of Portland and State of Oregon.”
