Lane Co. doles out $10,000 grants for tourism proposals


The county is using money from lodging taxes to pay for projects that encourage tourism in the region.

The county is using money from lodging taxes to pay for projects that encourage tourism in the region.

Each organization selected can receive $500 to $10,000 out of the fund, based on the scope of their proposals. The funds would go toward events scheduled to be held in 2015.

Past projects that have been awarded funds included ones that helped companies market their local events to out-of-county residents.
