The outdoor footwear and apparel company reported a 29% sales increase in its third quarter for a record $675.3 million.

That was an increase of $152.2 million over last year’s $523.1 million. Third quarter profit grew 20 percent to $65.6 million, or 93 cents per diluted share.

With one quarter remaining and three encouraging ones on the books, Boyle said the company was boosting its financial outlook for the remainder of the year to anticipate 22 percent sales growth (previously it was 19-21 percent) and 35 percent profit. While the company had not previously set a profit target, it had previously projected a 28 percent increase in operating income. That was boosted to 36 percent on Thursday.
