A SolarWorld spokesman said executives would outline their growth plans, as well as a time table, during a press conference Thursday at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Hillsboro. U.S. Sen Ron Wyden, D-Ore., is also slated to attend the event.
Already, SolarWorld employs hundreds of workers at its Hillsboro solar panel factory and corporate offices. It has operated out of that hub since 2008, when it landed in Oregon and lined up tens of millions of dollars in public support.
