The plan for a new Walmart and mixed-use development in Hillsboro will get its first public hearing Nov. 13.

If eventually approved, the grocery, two retail stores, parking and a new roadway, collectively known as Sequoia Village, could sit on roughly 26 acres. The site is on the northeast side of the busy intersection of Southwest Baseline Road and Northwest Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro.

In 2003, the Hillsboro Planning Commission rejected plans for a much larger Wal-Mart.
