The Technology Association of Oregon (TAO), a leading force driving innovation, community, and economic growth across Oregon’s technology ecosystem, has announced a strategic partnership with Moda Health and ALLtech Benefits to launch a customized medical and health benefit offering for technology companies in Oregon.

Through this partnership, TAO and ALLtech can leverage the collective buying power of the Oregon technology community to secure enterprise-class health benefits at competitive rates for tech companies with 2-50 employees, helping them attract and retain top talent in an increasingly competitive labor market. Coverage includes features like virtual care access and wellness program support that address the health-and-work balance critical to today’s technology professionals.

“As an Oregon-based company ourselves, Moda is very interested in helping support a thriving technology sector in our state,” said Moda vice president of sales and account services, Stacy Carmichael, “We are excited to offer a range of plans customized for small tech companies to help support the health and well-being of their employees.”

Employee Benefits for Oregon’s Tech Community
ALLtech is a nonprofit Association Health Plan, or AHP. As an AHP, ALLtech—in partnership with TAO—joins small businesses together as a group to negotiate coverage and rates with major carriers, giving small businesses access to better benefits than what they could purchase on their own. This new health plan offering provides access to a broad range of benefits customized for the tech community, including:

  • Medical insurance with multiple plan options designed for companies with 2–50 employees, underwritten specifically for the tech market.
  • Option to add dental, vision and life/AD&D coverage for a complete employee benefits package.
  • A single point of contact for plan administration, eligibility, compliance and consolidated billing.

“Access to affordable, high-quality health care is a game changer for technology companies,” said Warren (Skip) Newberry Jr., president and CEO of TAO. “By partnering with Moda Health and ALLtech Benefits, we’re enabling our members to compete more effectively for talent and strengthen their employee value propositions through benefits once only available to larger employers.”

Supporting Regional Innovation and Workforce Growth
This offering aligns with TAO’s mission to empower Oregon’s tech ecosystem by delivering resources that support business growth, employee satisfaction, and community competitiveness.

“Technology companies face unique pressures in finding and retaining great talent,” added Ken Myer, ALLtech Benefits Trustee. “Tech workers take risks and make tradeoffs to work for a startup or smaller company – at ALLtech, we want to make sure quality health benefits is not one of them. With our best-in-class health plans combined with personalized administration, innovative companies can focus on growth while providing meaningful health care access to their teams.”
