A media measurement company reaches deal with Kantar Shopcom for retail data; TinyPulse tracks employee sentiment in Oregon company.
Rentrak, which tracks television viewing behavior, added Kantar to bolster its services to its more-than 300 million consumers.
From the Portland Business Journal:
Kantar Shopcom will, for its part, “integrate Rentrak’s TV viewing information from millions of U.S. households with its purchase transaction information to expand its multi-channel, cross-media planning, targeting and measurement solutions.”
Kanta Media had merged its U.S. TV measurement business into Rentrak’s last October. The move was expected to add about $8 million to Rentrak’s revenue figures. Rentrak, which traded at the $73 mark when the market opened on Tuesday, generated about $89 million in revenue during its most recent fiscal year.
