Orchard Supply Hardware Stores filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The chain opened locations in Beaverton and Tigard this year.

As part of its filing, the San Jose, Calif.-based chain announced it had reached a deal to sell 60 of its 91 stores in Oregon and California to Lowe’s for $205 million. Lowe’s also retains an option to buy the remaining stores.

Orchard Supply hasn’t released a list of which stores it plans to sell to Lowe’s. However, it’s two Oregon stores are designed in the neighborhood format that the chain aims to focus on moving forward. So it’s possible the retailer will continue to operates its Washington County stores.
