The 13 acre Boise Cascade property in Salem has developers and residents at odds over a redevelopment project.

The developers, lead by respected local developer Larry Tokarski, have plans to get the project rolling with a medical rehabilitation center and a 120-unit apartment building.

But others have a different take on the project.

Salem’s Riverfront Park users worry about traffic safety near the Riverfront Carousel, as well as the scale of the apartments.
