The Salem-Keizer School Board approved the sale of Middle Grove Elementary School for $1.2 million.

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency plans to buy the property on Silverton Road and turn it into a Head Start preschool with as many as 100 to 200 students, Executive Director Teresa Cox said.

The lot comprises three separate parcels, and there is an issue with the title to parcel 1, according to a staff report. Salem-Keizer is working to quiet the title, which establishes its right against any challenges or claims.
