Post Foods’ parent company is buying Hearthside Food Solutions’ cereals and granola business in Eugene for $158 million cash.
Hearthside bought the business from Golden Temple in 2010.
Post said it will combine the Eugene business — which includes the Golden Temple, Peace Cereal, Sweet Home Farm and Willamette Valley Granola Co. brands, as well as a private label granola business — with its Attune Foods business. Post acquired San Franciso-based Attune, a maker of natural and organic cereals, in December.
