Hitachi High Technologies America is expanding in Hillsboro, adding 30 engineers.
Tim McCabe, director of Business Oregon, told legislators during a hearing in Salem Thursday that the engineers would earn more than $100,000 each. The expansion will occur without a state tax credit, he said.
Hitachi supplies Intel in Hillsboro. A company web site lists divisions at Hitachi’s Hillsboro site: electron microscope and focused ion beam, semiconductor etch equipment and semiconductor metrology equipment.
