The Portland Trail Blazers, Nike, Intel and Adidas are among 33 companies signing a “climate declaration” that urges policymakers to take action on global warming.

“We cannot risk our kids’ futures on the false hope that the vast majority of scientists are wrong,” the declaration says.

The declaration, announced Wednesday, comes from BICEP (Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy), a coalition organized by the sustainability group Ceres.
