22 health care providers will offer medical and dental plans online through Cover Oregon this year as part of the Affordable Care Act.
Debuting in October, Cover Oregon is an online shopping center where individual Oregonians and small employers can shop and compare health coverage options as well as access financial help to obtain health insurance.
Approved plans met state and federal requirements, such as offering bronze, silver and gold plans along with cost-sharing options of silver plans and acceptable network coverage. Examples of the 22 companies providing plans include PacificSource Health Plans, Premier Access Insurance Co., Providence Health Plan and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon.
