Portland developer and new CEO of SeaPort Airlines, John Beardsley, faces a lawsuit for defaulting on a Juneau airplane hanger.

The latest financial mishap for Beardsley comes on the heels of announcing his Fountain Village Development company is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

According to the complaint, Beardsley and Fountain Village defaulted on payments for the hangar and still owes $1.6 million.

“Fountain Village is in bankruptcy, but he’s not in bankruptcy,” the plaintiffs’ lawyer Budd Simpson told Amy Hsuan of the Oregonian. “We’re still able to proceed against him.”

Can Beardsley keep SeaPort soaring in spite of his legal and financial troubless?
