A new chart reveals that Oregon is one of the least-affected states from the impending federal automatic budget cuts.

Only Minnesota, New York and Delaware are less reliant on federal spending. Count Oregon’s relative lack of defense spending as a major factor. Washington, which has a big concentration of military facilities, is one of the most affected states.

In its own analysis, Pew says that Oregon is more vulnerable than many states when it looked at federal grants subject to sequester as a percentage of state revenue. But looking just at federal spending as a percent of each state’s GDP, Oregon is less than half the national average of 5.3 percent.
