Gov. Kitzhaber is expected to announce that Oracle will retain jobs in Hillsboro that it considered moving to Mexico.

Tim Raphael, the governor’s spokesman, said that Oracle will be announcing that it will retain some Oregon jobs that had been at risk of moving to Mexico. He said the Silicon Valley company will be bringing some additional jobs to Oregon, but Raphael declined to say how many ahead of the governor’s announcement.

Oracle is one of the world’s largest software companies, with a market value of $165 billion and annual sales of $37 billion.
