Oregon was awarded a $226 million grant from the federal government for its health insurance exchange.

The grant will cover costs for testing, training and implementation of the exchange’s IT user interface and post-enrollment updating and maintenance. Funding will also go toward the exchange’s service call center, according to an online fact sheet by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

Oregon was among about a dozen other states that received a grant Thursday for its exchange, which totaled $1.5 billion, according to a press release by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
