The Umatilla Chemical Depot plans its fourth cutback of the year, cutting 178 more jobs as it moves to shut down operations.

The company, a division of URS, is charged with shuttering the site. It closed the depot’s last liquid incinerator in November. It slashed three dozen jobs then, and about 20 more earlier this year. The shutdown started in October 2011, when workers destroyed the depot’s final ton of mustard agent.
