Rock Creek Corner says it is the first restaurant in Washington County to grow its own produce.

Restaurant owners Robert and Christy Bennett-Hanes said they surveyed customers and found that more than 40 percent stated a preference for local and organic food.

“We’ve seen a dramatic increase in orders for salad since we began using our garden lettuce this season,” said co-owner Robert Bennett-Hanes in a press release. “People say they can really taste the difference with our home-grown vegetables.”
