Japan-based footwear retailer ABC-MART reached an agreement to acquire Portland-based boot maker LaCrosse Footwear.

Japan-based footwear retailer ABC-MART reached an agreement to acquire Portland-based boot maker LaCrosse Footwear.

ABC-MART said in a news release it would acquire all outstanding LaCrosse shares for $20 or approximately $138 million.

Joseph P. Schneider, LaCrosse Footwear president and chief executive, indicated in a news release announcing the transaction that the Portland Danner Boot factory would continue operations.
