Oregon employers created one of every ten jobs in the U.S. in May.
The state added 6,900 seasonally-adjusted jobs in May, a level equal to 10 percent of all gains nationwide. Economists also revised up April’s job gains to 3,100 from an original estimate of 2,300.
The unemployment rate remained essentially unchanged in May, falling from to 8.4 percent from 8.5 percent.
