“I just think it’s is a sign that things are getting better,” said Jack Roberts, executive director of the Lane Metro Partnership, a local economic development agency. “It’s still not looking like it’s going to be a huge economic boom. (But) we are seeing that companies are willing to make investments again, and that’s a huge step forward.”
The recent flurry of activity stands in sharp contrast to 2011, when five of the 10 largest real estate deals were senior living centers and two others were timberlands.
