Portland-based Precision Castparts will acquire Canadian aerostructure manufacturer Centra Industries for an undisclosed amount.
Precision, which makes metal parts for aircraft, power companies and other industries, has acquired several other manufacturers recently. Managers expect to complete the latest transaction during the first quarter of 2013.
“The acquisition of Centra further grows our presence in the fragmented aerostructures market,” Mark Donegan, Precision chairman and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
