Oregon received $1.3 million more from the Department of Transportation to add to its Electric Highway infrastructure.

Last month, Oregon celebrated the fact that it has the longest stretch of electrified road in the country with the unveiling of the first eight fast-charging stations installed at key points along Interstate 5.

That project calls for 22 of the charging stations when the project will complete and the additional funding will add another 13 to major roadways.
