U.S. and Portland-area home prices fell in February, setting a new low since the housing bubble.

The S&P Case-Shiller home price index showed a 0.8 percent decline in U.S. prices in February, the sixth month in a row prices have dropped. In the Portland area, prices fell 0.3 percent in a fifth month of decline.

In the Portland area, the median home price in February was $211,000, according to local sales data reported by the Regional Multiple Listings Service. In March, the area’s median sale price grew to $215,700.
