In which we launch a new events series!

We are excited to announce our “Hot Topics/ Cool Talks” breakfast series: a new way for readers to engage with our magazine and web content. Each month we will bring together innovators, business and thought leaders to discuss the latest ideas, designs and technologies driving change in our culture and economy. The goal is to inform, entertain and offer up insights that the audience can use in their own lives and businesses.

The series kicks off April 21 with “Tech in Transit: Will Portland Build the Next Uber?”  Join us for a lively conversation about growing a new generation of urban transportation companies in Oregon. The panel lineup features Nat Parker CEO of GlobeSherpa, Brad Biddle, founder of Open Bike Inc. Brooke Steger, General Manager for Uber Seattle and Teresa Christopherson, Clackamas County administrator for the Mt. Hood Express bus.

Portland “Hot Topics” events will take place at the KeyBank Club-Providence Park. In the coming months, the discussion series will expand to locations around the state.
