1008Indicators2In the late ’90s, Oregon filings for new corporations more than doubled the number of limited liability companies (LLCs). But in the last decade the situation has reversed, with corporations staying about the same and new LLCs growing 19% per year on average. Total active filings as of July have grown 22% during the last five years, with the LLC share of them increasing from 15% in 2003 to 28% in 2008. Assumed business names are the only filing that has declined (-2%).
