Join us for a behind the scene tour of Providence Park, home of the Portland Timbers and the EPA Executive Forum!

Witness first-hand the renovation which crafted Providence Park into one of the most unique and authentic soccer environments in the country. Hear about the history, structures, strategy and all the fun facts behind Portland’s timeless stadium. Additionally, you will learn more about the Park’s LEED® Silver Certification and sustainability efforts including the use of energy-efficient lighting and low-flow plumbing fixtures, recycling stations and food-waste composting programs for staff and visitors, subsidized mass transit programs and availability of bicycle racks for fans, utilizing reusable commodities and using green-certified materials and equipment.
Tours will take place at 1:00pm and 2:00pm and will last for 60 minutes. No cost, registration required. Each tour is limited to 30 participants.

The EPA Executive Forum at GoGreen demonstrates the successful cross-sector collaboration of the business and public sector with a panel of “Outstanding Participants” who have achieved award status in the EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership, Food Recovery Challenge, EnergyStar and Green Power Partnership programs from the state of Oregon. Several leading organizations will share their best practices and discuss how free EPA tools and resources helped them achieve the next level of sustainability. Learn from sustainability executives at organizations based in the region by joining us for this special event.

GOGREEN GRI CERTIFICATION FULL-DAY COURSE | 9:00-5:00PM

Many corporations have chosen the GRI Guidelines as their resource for developing sustainability-related disclosures, and many public agencies have followed suit. Determining reporting content requires first evaluating what’s important to stakeholders and why it matters. This GRI course will include an overview of common sustainability impacts among public agencies and corporations. This course will be led by ISOS Group Trainer and sustainability expert, Dr. Jeff Leinaweaver. Upon course completion, participants will receive a certificate issued by the Global Reporting Initiative(GRI), the most widely used voluntary framework for sustainability reporting in the world today.
This certification course will train participants on the following:
- The various definitions of “materiality”
- What it means to determine what’s relevant
- Tools available to compliment this process
- Methods for illustrating what matters most

Dr. Jeff Leinaweaver | Founder & Principal, Global Zen Sustainability
Dr. Jeff Leinaweaver is founder and principal of Global Zen Sustainability. He is a strategic sustainability strategist, organizational development professional, and nationally-known storyteller who works with organizations and leaders on crafting authentic narratives that best showcase their emergent sustainability story. Jeff has wide-ranging sustainability expertise in management consulting, intercultural communication, strategic leadership development, social performance, organizational storytelling, sustainability/CSR reporting, and training. He is one of the leading GRI-certified trainer-consultants in the United States by way of a strategic partnership with the ISOS Group. Jeff is also a contributing writer to the Guardian’s Sustainable Business Column. Jeff is a graduate faculty member at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and adjunct at the University of Washington, Capella University, and Antioch University. Additionally, Jeff holds a Permaculture Design Certification with advanced teaching work in social-ecological Permaculture design. Jeff is a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and an associate with The Natural Step organization. Jeff has done work with a variety of companies and organizations, including Amazon.com, Kyocera, Olympus, The Associated Press, Salesforce, Johns Manville, Symantec, Umpqua Bank, The Smithsonian Institution, The International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), and OUR Ecovillage.
