In what’s becoming an all-too-common scene in these biting economic times, the Ericksens — he’s 65, she 56 — had poured their hearts, souls and savings into the business, only to find themselves unable to keep making payments on a $200,000 line of credit.
The garden center and 25 acres of land on which it sits are now owned by Oregon Pacific Bank in Florence, which will sell off the inventory of the center, two miles south of Waldport, today through Monday.
